For as long as companies have been around and economists have studied labour markets, worker productivity has been a central focus of conversation and study. In this report, we delve into this concept, examining developer productivity and the factors associated with it using multiple metrics. As this report is focused on developer productivity at work, we focus our analysis exclusively on professional developers. Throughout this report, we examine metrics and factors that are associated with each productivity measurement. Through this analysis, we aim to highlight the pros and cons of framing productivity in various manners.
