A focus on open and open-source AI models
About this Report
This report investigates the state of integration of open and fully open-source artificial intelligence (AI) models by developers who add AI functionality to their applications. While focusing on the broader picture, we explore the types of functionalities developers use these models for, why they choose them over their proprietary alternatives, and the challenges they face. In addition to this, we also take a brief look at the reason why developers might avoid using open or open-source models in their applications.
