About this Report
The aim of this report is to provide an overview of the current state of wireless networking technologies through the eyes of Internet of Things (IoT) software developers. We first investigate the adoption of different wireless technologies in IoT projects and then we look at the top challenges that IoT developers face when using wireless technologies. Finally, we explore the approaches these developers take to ensure the security of applications with wireless capabilities.

Methodology
This report is based on data collected from over 860 developers who indicated that they are involved in industrial IoT or consumer electronics projects in the 25th edition of our Developer Nation survey, which was fielded in Q3 2023.
