
About this Report
This report explores the current landscape of Arm-based Windows application development. We look at the current landscape of developers who are building Windows applications that run on desktop or laptop computers powered by Arm processors, including those who are porting existing x86 or x64 applications to Arm devices. Additionally, we examine the main challenges developers face when developing these applications and the reasons why some developers have not yet ventured into Arm-based development. Lastly, we highlight the key motivations for developers to pursue Arm-based Windows applications.
Methodology
The report is based on data collected from the 28th edition of the Developer Nation survey edition of the Developer Nation survey, a large-scale, online developer survey that was designed, hosted, and fielded by SlashData over a period of five weeks between September and October 2024.
